Anti Summgling Enforcement Unit

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors has agreed to hear the Sheriff’s Office request for an “Anti Smuggling Enforcement Unit.”
The proposal will be heard at the Pinal County Board of Supervisors meeting on Wednesday, October 13th, 2010. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and is open to the public. The Board of Supervisors Hearing Room is located at 31 North Pinal Street, building A, Florence.
The Mission of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office “Anti Smuggling Enforcement Unit” will be to identify criminal activity associated with drug and human trafficking and deploy accordingly in an effort to reduce the amount of violent and peripheral crimes associated with both. The unit will be comprised of one sergeant and six deputies.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office “Anti Smuggling Enforcement Unit” (ASEU) will interdict, disrupt and dismantle drug and human trafficking operations in Pinal County.
