HOA Profiles and the Risks

Every now and then we will see a new name on the San Tan Heights message board. We will check the profile of the person and sometimes send the person an email stating that the information they provide for public viewing is enough to steal their identity; usually full name, address, phone number and email. That’s really all it takes.

Just letting everyone know that although it’s up to you what you want others to see, there are risks involved. We only know of one individual that it happened to here, but ever since that happened we’ve been cautioning [new] people against the practice of posting too much information.
