UPDATE: To All My San Tan Valley Friends

It has come to our attention that the link in the original post did not work for some people; we think this is due to the fact that the link was to a Note on a Facebook page and if you’re not a “friend” of Jennifer’s you would not see it.

We’ve asked for permission to copy and re-post here and Jennifer has agreed.

There is a public Hearing at the Planning and Zoning Commission at 9 a.m. on Feb 17th at the Pinal County Emergency Operations Center Hearing Room Bldg. F Florence to discuss the zoning of parcel along Thompson. Mr. Steve Tomita and agents held a community meeting in San Tan Heights proposing to residents first a car dealership and then a hotel similar to a Hilton or Radisson Garden with a meeting room. He said they definitely had an interested party that would be builidng the hotel but would not disclose the Hotel name. I thought that was odd but he did promise to send emails out to those that signed up for them (no emails as of yet) where we could get additional information.

I wanted everyone to know that we were lied too. Weeks prior to this meeting I had attended a meeting where Bryan Martyn was talking about the land and said that there would a Motel 6 and a car dealership. At the community meeting I asked Mr. Tomita about Mr. Martyn’s statement and he told us that that Mr. Martyn was incorrect and how he wish he wasn’t going around telling people that. Then prior to the meeting notice that was sent from Pinal County, I heard that at the work session/zoning commission meeting Mr. Tomita submitted plans as the Motel 6. Also throught the grapevine I heard that Mr. Larry Miller was somehow still involved in the development.
