Many Thanks to All of You.

You know, every once in a while Arline and I will get a “Thank You” from someone that appreciates what we do.

The fact of the matter is Arline and I aren’t the Block Watch anymore than Jack Malpass (our HOA President) is the HOA.  The Block Watch is anyone that wants to be involved, stay informed and act. Every week we have calls going to the PCSO for suspicious activity, vehicles and people. That’s YOU doing the work of the Block Watch. For that, Arline and I want to thank all of you for helping to keep San Tan Heights a better place to live and play.

We had some issues a couple of weeks ago with many car break ins; that group has since been arrested and those kind of calls have decreased. In talking with Lt. Brown during that period he mentioned that he noticed right away there was a problem and increased patrols in our area. The person(s) were apprehended in Copper Basin and the problem seems to have gone away. So Good Times! Lt. Brown really looks out for the families in his region and we really appreciate all that he has done.

Now for an update on our website as two things have changed.

1). For those of you that follow the Crime Maps we have posted a new PCSO Code Sheet. These are the codes that Dispatch and the Patrols use to talk to each other. Without it the information we post is cryptic at best. Get the new Code Sheet here.

2). We have put in a Twitter feed on the right side bar. We are “following” several people and businesses in San Tan Valley that give updates on what that is happening in our area. As we see it if it pertains to local government, happenings or events we “retweet” and it goes into the Twitter Feed. Just click the link in the feed and you will be taken to a site with the information that you wanted.

We are always looking for more local businesses and people to follow. If you have a suggestion just let us know and we can start following.

Again, many thanks to all of you that have been a part of San Tan Heights Community Watch and continue to watch out for your neighbors.

Have a Great Weekend!

Jeff and Alrine

  1. You may not be the “Block Watch”, but you are certainly the driving force that keeps it going. As one who appreciates immensely all the work you do and the updates you provide I am very appreciative. I look forward to becoming more engaged as one of the team in the montha ahead.
