September 2011 Board Report

In the last four weeks calls to the PCSO from STH are down 21%. From an average of  49 calls per four week block, to 39 calls. Also down for the last four weeks were reports of burglary.

  • Burglary – AVG is 4.4 down to 0
  • Criminal Damage – AVG is 3 and remained flat at 3
  • Theft is up. AVG is 5.8 and rose to 8
  • Suspicious activity calls AVG is 12.1 down to 10

91% of the top two calls (criminal damage and theft) were made between the hours of 8am and 8pm. We suggest being vigilant and watchful. Take a walk if you’re at home and make your presence known and call in any suspicious activity.

TIP: Burglars look for homes that are appear that no one is home or is not secured somehow. Get and display a Beware of Dog sign even if you don’t have one. Dogs bark and create the kind of noise burglars detest.

Also, you might leave the radio and the lights on when you are out for a period of time to give the appearance that someone is home.
