Sheriff Paul Babeu Recognized by the “Arizona Capitol Times” as “2011 Public Safety Official of the Year”

On Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu attended the “2011 Arizona Capitol Times Leaders of the Year in Public Policy Award Luncheon.” The luncheon was held at the Phoenix Wyndham Hotel. At the luncheon, Sheriff Babeu was recognized as their “2011 Public Safety Official of the Year.”

  1. Congradulation to the Shieff. But I wish someone from the PCSO would come to Mountain Vista Middle School and write some tickets for speeding in the school zone. I’ve worked there for 4 school years now and have never seen a ticket writen for speeding. But 80% of the traffic going through the school zone is speeding, some at 35 MPH. They know no one will show up to write them a ticket.

  2. You know, I cruise through there every once in a while and overall people seem to be obeying the speed limit. But I don’t go through there when school is opening/closing, either. Are you talking the parents of the children that are going over the speed limit? As best as you can tell, of course.
