We received this invitation yesterday and thought we’d pass it along. Every year the Sheriff’s Office does a wonderful job on collecting for the children of Pinal County and every year it gets bigger and better; there are a lot of children that really need it.
From Lt. Villar:
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting The Sheriff’s Santas Gold Tournament on Dec 9, 2011 at the Southern Dunes Golf Course in Maricopa. This event will benefit our Sheriff’s Santas Shop with a Sheriff Program. We would appreciate your participation and support.
Each year, during the Holidays, the Sheriff’s Office hosts various fund raising events to raise money to assist local children and families who are living in poverty and/or families simply struggling to make ends meet. Our deputies encounter these families throughout the year and identify them as possible beneficiaries of the Sheriff’s Santas Program.
100% of all donations earned through fund-raisers and in-kind donations go directly to help Pinal County children and their families. The Sheriff’s Santas program partners deputies and local police officers with children from our communities. The deputies and officers take the children shopping at a local department store. It is inspiring! These children most often purchase basic need items; blankets, clothing, and shoes, with a few gifts for their younger siblings. A child hardly makes a toy purchase for themselves, unless a deputy insists.
I would like to extend a personal invitation to you, to partner with us this year. We are in need of sponsors for this years Sheriff’s Santas program. We will host a charity golf tournament on December 9, 2011 at the #5 Top Rated Golf Course in Arizona, the Southern Dunes in Maricopa.
There are many opportunities for you or your organization to assist. We are looking for Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze level sponsors in addition to Hole Sponsors and teams to play in our tournament.
I have included an event flyer/sponsorship form for your use. Please feel free to contact Community Services Bureau Sergeant Penny Fendley at 520-866-5140 or Lt Tamatha Villar at 520-866-5199 with any questions.
Your participation and sponsorship will make a great difference in the lives of many Pinal County children and will help promote unity within our communities. I look forward to seeing you at the tournament.
