Community Safety Day 2008
Arline and I feel that a crime free community is a more cohesive community. Our goal is to be a part of making San Tan Heights a great place to live and play. Arline had an idea to bring out vendors to San Tan Heights that would offer safety and crime prevention products. Community Safety Day was born.
With the help of other area Block Watch’s and community leaders we were able to bring this safety event to Mountain Vista Middle School. American Family Insurance brought out a demo of a wrecked car (attention teenagers!), security products such as video surveillance, special peepholes for your front door and just a slew of other products. Free water was provided Sparkletts water. And music was provided by the local rock band Firkin who also played at The Battle Of The Bands.
Just another example of how people working together good things can happen.
I have to say, Coolidge Unified School District has always been willing to partner with the community in anything that would benefit the community. Cheers!
