Thanks to the Hershey’s Company, sponsor of the event, San Tan Valley will hold its 2nd annual Hershey Track & Field Games, April 16, at the new track and field complex at Mountain Vista Middle School.
The event is free for boys and girls, ages 9-14 (born 1998-2002). The meet includes sprints, softball throw, and standing long jump.
This is the largest sports program of its kind in the U.S. and Canada. Winners go on to state competition. Those winning scores are compared with other state winners in the region and finalists compete in the North American Final in Hershey, PA.
Please spread the word about this event! It will bring a lot of positive attention to our community and be a great event for our youth.
Thanks to the San Tan Valley Think Tank, the diligence and hard work of Jack Malpass (interim HOA Board President) and Candice Steelman (Communications Committee media expert), San Tan Heights will be host to this event which aims at “getting kids on the right track, teaching lifelong lessons, and having fun every step, leap, jump and throw along the way.”
If you have a child or know of one that would like to participate please go to San Tan Valley Hershey Track and Field Competition for more details and entry forms.
